If you grew up in Montreal, chances are that you’ve been to the Montreal Planetarium at least once in your life, either with your school or some sort of organization, such as Girl Guides or Boy Scouts. The Planetarium, which used to be called the Dow Planetarium when I was a kid (remember Dow beer anyone?) is still a popular attraction.
Their shows are spectacular, the people who work there very approachable and knowledgeable, and the cost is reasonable, especially if you have an Access Montreal card.
What: Montreal Planetarium, shows such as Our Galaxy: The Milky Way (English or French) and Extinctions (English or French).
When: Check the show times for the complete and up-to-date listings. These two shows end in May. The Planetarium will then close for a few days in order to set up for the next series of shows.
Cost: Adults: 8.00 (with Access card: 5.00)
Children 5 to 17: 4.00 (with Access card: 2.50)
Four and under: Free
Students, with ID: 6.00 (with Access card: 3.50)
Seniors (over 65): 6.00 (with Access card: 3.50)
