Save $$ at the Montreal Science Centre

Unfortunately, not all fun and educational activities are affordable for all Montrealers, but there are ways to save money. I wrote a post about the Access Montreal card, which gives discounts for some Montreal area events and sites. It’s also always worth checking out the sites of placed you’d like to go to. It’s not unusual for some of us to say we can’t afford an activity, but you’d be surprised at some of the deals that can be had if you just do a bit of digging.
The Montreal Science Centre, located in the Old Port, usually charges from 9.00 to 20.00 depending on the age of the person and the events they are attending. But, if you check further, this is how you can save more, according to their website:
Québec Museum Association Card (QMA)
* Free admission to all exhibition halls only
* Valid for the cardholder onlyMontréal Museum Directors Association Pass (MMDA)
* Free admission to all exhibition halls – for VIP annual complimentary card and the Montréal Museums Pass
* Valid for the card holder only
* To obtain the Montréal Museums Pass: www.museesmontreal.orgCAA-Quebec membership card
* Valid at the ticket counter only
* 15% rebate on the regular rate for exhibitions,
1 2D or 3D film or 1 expo + 1 film
* Valid for a maximum of 4 persons
* Effective until December 31, 2009
* Also applies to cardholders of the following: AAA – ARC Europe – Visa or MasterCard CAA/AAA credit cardChrome Desjardins Card
* $2 rebate on the Exploration package.
ASTC and CCCS
* Reciprocity agreement between Canadian and American (U.S.A.) science centres and museums.
Companion of persons living with a disability or a mental health problem
* Free entrance upon presentation of the Tourist and leisure companion sticker
So, why not check to see if there’s an event you’d like to go to at the Science Centre.
