Montreal Twestival 2009 – Sept. 10

There’s not a lot of information on this event yet, but I wanted you to be aware of it and keep the date open.

The event will be held at Le Social at 1445 Bishop, Montreal on September 10,  2009. Starting time 5 P.M.

After a successful Twestival Global on February 22nd in 202 cities around the world, the event is back this September with a distinct local flavour. Twestival Local is a fundraising musical event organized by volunteers brought together through the micro-blogging service Twitter. This year’s Twestival Local event will be held on Thursday, September 10th at Le Social (1445 Bishop St.) to raise funds for Head & Hands, a non-profit organization that works with youth to promote their physical and mental well-being.

The first “tweet-up with a social conscience” last February inspired people to give and allowed us to raise $250,000 for Charity:Water, an organization that brings clean drinking water to developing nations (www.charitywater.org).
