Remember the apple picking train from in I posted late last month (The Apple Train)? Now we have the Pumpkin train. Check out the Courges-en-Train, run by the AMT (transportation service that goes outside the Montreal area).
As with the Apple Train, I debated as to whether this should fall under Montreal on the Cheap because it’s a bit on the more expensive side than I usually post, but it’s for a whole afternoon and it is an outing, so I thought I’d throw it in for those of you who would like to do this.
What: Take the train to a pumpkin farm in the St. Jean area. It’s a bring your own lunch/picnic event and for everyone 13 years and older, you get to pick (and keep!) a pumpkin to bring home.
When: Saturday, October 3, 10 and 17. Train leaves at noon and returns at 5 P.M.
Where: Central station is where you get the train. It’s located at 895 rue de La Gauchetière Ouest (west), downtown
Cost: (tax included) Children 5 and under are free, 6 to 12: 16:65, teens and adults: 29.45 and seniors: 25.45.
