In these unusual symphonies, the sounds of ship horns and train whistles swell to pay tribute to Montreal and its river. If you come to the Quays Promenade, on the Alexandra quay side, you will hear an original work from a local composer, created especially for these original “instruments.” Produced by Pointe-à-Callière, the Montreal Museum of Archaeology and History, in collaboration with the Quays of the Old-Port, the Port Symphonies are a distinctly Montreal musical tradition!
Two presentations: Sunday, February 28 and Sunday, March 7, at 1:30 p.m.
The Symphonies can be heard at Place Royale and on the Quays of the Old-Port.
