Get ready for some Colombian Salsa courtesy of the Montreal Highlights Festival!
From Bogota to Montreal, Roberto López (winner of the Fondation du maire de Montréal pour la jeunesse competition in 2006) has absorbed the musical flavours of the Americas—Colombia, Brazil, Cuba…—on his travels, and fashioned his own special Latino and Afro-Cuban sound. After winning over fans at the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal in 2008 and FrancoFans this past summer, the multi-instrumentalist returns this winter with his polycultural orchestra and Spécial salsa, a full musical serving of the Lopezian repertoire, including his new album Soy Panamericano. Get ready to dance all night long!
