Montreal Dragon Boat Race Festival, July 22-24, 2011.
Come and watch over 200 teams competing in the 16th edition of Montreal’s International Dragon Boat Race Festival. Held at Parc Jean-Drapeau’s Olympic Basin, the event is free to all spectators, but if you come by car, you will have to pay for parking.
There will also be live entertainment and activities for everyone, including arts and crafts and food tasting.

Montreal Beer Fest – June 8 to 12, 2011 – Free admission
Montreal + Summer = Beer Fest!
This year’s event is at a new location, Place Bonaventure, will give it a different feel than the traditional Windsor Station location, but as the event grows, so must the venue.
As is usual, admission is free (yay!) but you have to pay to sample the wares.
Tasting:
- Tasting coupons: $1 each
- Cost of one tasting: 1 to 5 coupons (for most beers)
- Quantity served: 3 to 4 ounces
Glass: The souvenir glass is designed to accommodate one or two 4-oz. samples per tasting.
