Thursday 15th of July (ages 2 to 5)

Capoeira – Porto da Barra

Capoeira is a 500 year old Afro-Brazilian art form that incorporates dance, music, rhythm and martial arts. Its practice offers complete training, coordination, and flexibility.ThePorto da Barrra Capoeria School will demonstrate the way these elements come together flawlessly in the park. Tuesday 20th of July (ages 2 to 5)

Huu Bac and Marie Neige

HuuBac and Marie Neige join forces to express their common passion in a unique musical presentation that transcends age and geography.  Huu-Bac is as able to play a Quebecois reel on his traditional vietnamese dan bau as Marie Neige is to offer a Chinese, Peruvian, or European melody on her violin.  The possibilities of their collaboration are endless and any creation will be noteworthy and unforgettable.

Wednesday 21st of July (ages 6 to 12)

Percussion – Maloukai

Feel like going on vacation this summer while staying home? The musicians of Maloukai will transport the park to Brazil with their variety of percussive instruments and intricate rhythms. Come march to the beat of your own drummer.

Improvisational Theatre with Mike Hughes

Have you ever dreamt of being a star of stage and screen? Do you have an inner drama king or queen that can’t wait to be released? Professional Montreal actor Mike Hughes can help. He will set the stage with a workshop on improvisational acting, so bring your game face and be prepared for the unexpected. With improv theatre anything can happen….
