A series of public outreach lectures where McGill scientists examine the myths and realities of everything from aliens to global warming.
Where: Auditorium, Redpath Museum, 859 Sherbrooke Street West, Metro McGill/Peel (unless otherwise indicated).
Seating is limited. No reservations necessary.
When: 5 PM
Cost: Free, unless indicated otherwise.

The next Freaky Friday will be on November 13, 2009:

Get real about Geo-engineering
By Nigel Roulet (Geography, McGill)
Should we dump iron into the ocean to launch reflective particles into the atmosphere to reduce the amount of sunlight that gets through? Find out the reality of schemes to ameliorate climate change. Followed by the National Geographic film Six Degrees Could Change the World (2007). This Freaky Friday is co-hosted with the Lorne Trottier Public Science Symposium.

followed on December 11 with

By Suha Jabaji (Agricultural & Environmental Sciences)
Learn about the world of fungi and their integral relationship with the health of the planet. Followed by the documentary film Know your Mushrooms (2008).
